Warchal Amber synthetic cello strings have been developed to take full advantage of the benefits of synthetic core strings, using feedback from cello players to improve the tone over the older Warchal Brilliant cello set. The result was a string set with impressive sound and playability. Because the synthetic A string is fragile in use, a Metal version has also been developed, where the helix principle was used for the cello string. This improvement was developed by Bohdan Warchal in 2013 to solve the sound difference of violin E strings and also prevent whistling (see video clip by clicking here ). Cello players can now also benefit from a metal A string according to the "Helix" principle with increased elasticity; resulting in a beautiful sound. The string set consists of the following strings:
- A string with synthetic core and stainless steel winding;
- D string with synthetic core and Hydronalium / Stainless steel winding;
- G string with synthetic core and Hydronalium / Silver winding;
- C string with synthetic core and silver winding.
The A string is also available with a metal core with stainless steel winding.
