Heinrich Theodore Jr. is the most famous member of the Heberlein family and one of the best Markneukirchen makers of his time. He studied with his father, Carl August Heberlein, then moved to Leipzig to work for Ludwig Bausch and eventually became the pupil of August Riechers in Hanover. In 1863 he founded his own independent workshop, where he worked until his retirement in 1897. He also taught at the violin making school in Markneukirchen.
