The sound of the Thomastik VISION™ string is characterized by a strong focus, clear and brilliant character. The strings can be combined very well with other synthetic strings. The Vision Solo viola strings are characterized by a more powerful and brighter sound compared to the Vision viola strings. The A string in particular has a higher string tension.

That quality is in turn determined by the perfect interplay between the core of the string and the material used for its wrapping. With this knowledge in mind, and almost 100 years of experience as luggage, Thomastik-Infeld developed the “Vision” range. Both for this Vision Solo Viola and for the entire range, each string is manufactured and checked by hand. The entire range of Vision strings, thanks to their advanced synthetic core in combination with an extremely polished surface, give a warm yet energetic sound, after only two hours of playing. Thanks to the same composition, you can also count on long-lasting tone stability and a considerably longer lifespan with these strings. Vision strings, which come into their own when playing together within an orchestra, are therefore extremely suitable to be played by both the advanced violinist and the novice student.

Thanks to Vision strings, every viola player can count on a warm and sonorous sound, with a perfect mix of power and underlying playfulness at the same time. This almost perfect sound is also achieved very quickly, completely skipping the 'metallic' sound phase, which is so characteristic of most new strings. With all these qualities, these strings are soft and pleasant to play and will withstand every imaginable and unthinkable technical practice, including the 'double stop', without blinking. Despite all these qualities, the Vision Solo alto strings are very affordable. The set is composed as follows:

- A string : solid steel core wound with chrome wire, with removable ball-end, so that the string can also be used with a loop
- D string : synthetic core wound with chromed wire
- G and C string : synthetic core wound with silver-plated wire

In addition, the D string is also available with a silver-plated winding.
