The Versum cello strings from Thomastik are a relatively new member of the Thomastik family. The set is composed as follows:

- A/D string : solid steel core wound with high quality steel alloy wire.
- G/C string : Braided steel core wound with chrome/tungsten (tungsten) wire.

All this leads to a sound that is very nice, balanced, round, warm and focused, with many timbres. Naturally, the correct stroke technique is required for this! The strings are recommended by the supplier for solo playing, orchestral playing, quartet playing... in short, for everything!

In 2018 Thomastik introduced the solo version of the Versum cello strings. For the connoisseur who wants to get even more power, response and projection from his cello.
