Superflexible Orchestra double bass strings have a braided steel core, which reduces string stiffness and improves flexibility. With the correct bowing technique, the strings produce a pure and clear sound. They are easy to tune, long lasting and suitable for use in many styles of music. In addition to the standard G/D/A/E string set, the following strings are optionally available in the medium version (only 4/4):
- Low C string;
- H2 string;
- Low C string extension.

Thomastik terminated the fabrication of small sizes and optional strings. Some set/strings are still available.
