Thomastik Superflexible cello strings have a braided steel core, which reduces the stiffness of the strings and improves flexibility. With the correct bowing technique, the strings produce a pure and clear sound. They are easy to tune, long lasting and suitable for use in many styles of music. The strings are available in the following versions:

- Set Chrome : All strings have a chrome winding

Optionally, the A string is available with aluminum wrapping and the G and C string are available with silver and tungsten wrapping, however Thomastik terminated the production of these optional strings. Some strings are still available.

Furthermore, Thomastik has terminated the fabrication of small sizes. Some sets/strings are still available.
