Thomastik Superflexible viola strings have a braided steel core, which reduces the stiffness of the strings and improves flexibility. With the correct bowing technique, the strings produce a pure and clear sound. They are easy to tune, long lasting and suitable for use in many styles of music. The strings are available in the following versions:

- Set Chrome : All strings have a chrome winding. Sizes 4/4. Recently Thomastik has stopped producing sizes 3/4, 1/2 and 1/4. The stock can therefore no longer be replenished.

Optionally, the A string is available with aluminum wrapping and the G and C string are available with silver wrapping, and the C string also with tungsten/tungsten wrapping, however Thomastik also terminated the production of these strings. Some strings are still available.
