In 2021, Thomastik-Infeld in Vienna presented a new generation of strings, namely DOMINANT PRO . The Dominant PRO strings are a logical continuation and refinement of the well-known Dominant strings and are ideally suited for chamber musicians, soloists and orchestral musicians. In 2022 these will now also be available for cello.
The main features, according to Thomastik, are:

- A string DP41 with carbon steel core and chrome winding
- D string DP42 with carbon steel church and chrome winding
- G string DP43 with braided steel core with nickel-alloy winding
- C string DP44 with braided steel core with tungsten/nickel-alloy winding
