The Pirastro Wondertone Solo string has a newly developed synthetic core with the following properties:

- direct, brilliant and clear sound
- good focus with excellent response

The standard set includes a silver-plated E string, A-aluminum wrap, D- and G-silver wrap.

The steel A string has a brilliant and very crisp sound, which allows for an easy transition to the E string. This string combination was used extensively in the Russian tradition, including David Oistrach who used Pirastro G- and D-gut strings combined with steel A- and E-strings

The E string is also available as “Advanced Steel” – with a more round and warm sound. Strength: 0.267mm.
