Pirastro's Piranito strings are made of a massive steel core. The E string is all steel, the A string is wound with aluminum (smaller sizes with chrome), the D and G string are wound with chrome steel. They have a nice clear sound and easy response. An A string with chrome winding is also available for the 4/4 violin. Great strings for the novice and more advanced violinist. Available in sizes 1/32-1/16, 1/8-1/4, 1/2-3/4 and 4/4.
