Pirastro Passione Solo violin strings have a sheep gut core, which is hand wound. The strings have a fascinating variety of timbres, which gives the violinist many possibilities. In addition, the strings give a full, warm, brilliant, powerful and clear sound. The strings are stable very quickly and easy to tune. Compared to the Passione violin strings, the Passione Sole violin strings have an even more powerful sound (strings are slightly thicker). The following versions are available in medium string tension:

- E string : silver steel ball-end or loop-end
- A string : gut core with aluminum winding
- D string : gut core with silver winding
- G string : gut core with silver winding
