Pirastro Original Flat-Chrome Orchestra double bass strings produce a very powerful sound and projection, slightly larger than the Original Flexocor. The cable core is made of high tensile carbon steel, wrapped with chrome steel wire. This makes the sound clear and brilliant with a lot of resonance of carrying power. The string reacts quickly and requires optimal stroke technique. It is stable in voice, and the break-in time is short. Available in medium string tension for the 3/4 double bass.
