The "Gold" viola strings from Pirastro are made by hand in the traditional way. They play easily and have a nice clear and warm sound. The A-string has a gut core with aluminum winding with ball-end, the D-string gut with alu/silver winding with ball-end, the G-string gut with silver/alu winding with knot-end and the C string gut with silver winding with knot-end.

Pirastro Gold viola strings are no longer in production. There are still a few strings/sets available.
