The new Pirastro Flexocor de Luxe cello strings (2022) have good stability/playability and are easy to tune. The strings are made as follows:

- The A and D string has a steel core with a high tensile strength and is wound with chrome steel.
- The G and C strings have a braided steel core and are wound with tungsten (tungsten).

The A and D strings give a soft, lively and very rich sound, while the G and C strings have an unmistakably warm and round sound. Of course only together with the right ironing technique....!
