Pirastro Flexocore-Permanent steel strings produce a relatively warm sound with great projection, very stable. powerful sound and excellent response. The strings have the following specification:

- Steel E string (ball-end and loop-end)
- A string steel core, aluminum wrapped
- D string steel core, wrapped with titanium
- G string steel core, wrapped with silver
