The Pirastro Eudoxa string is a string with a gut core, wound with a metal winding. The gut core of the Eudoxa string is handcrafted by Pirastro and has a balanced sound with a multitude of timbres. The following versions are available in medium, strong, extra strong and soft diameter/string tension, indicated in PM (Pirazzi meter = 0.05 mm):

- E string : steel or aluminum ball-end or loop-end (string tension medium & strong);
- A string : sheep gut core/alu winding ball-end (13 1/4, 13 1/2, 13 3/4-medium & 14 PM);
- D string : sheep gut core/alu winding knot-end (16 1/4, 16 1/2, 16 3/4-medium & 17 PM);
- G string : sheep gut core/silver winding knot-end (15 1/4, 15 1/2, 15 3/4-medium, 16 & 16 1/4 PM).

The set is delivered with an E-string with Alu winding.
