OPAL GREEN VIOLA strings are handmade strings with synthetic core. The use of kevlar in the A string core avoids the traditionally annoying change of tone between the first and the second string. These strings offer a clear, warm, powerful and very uniform sound, without excessive tension. Its sound has a bright spectrum of overtones, similar to gut strings. For-Tune Strings was established in Beijing in 1992 by Ms. Dan Meizhen, who had previously worked as a string maker in the National String Company of China for 20 years. During the four first years, they were researching and developing strings for classical instruments and for Chinese traditional instruments and since 1999 well-known performers from Europe, Asia and the USA have helped to create strings for violin, viola, cello and double bass, which highly satisfied the users of the strings, whereby the highest quality standards were met.
