The book Position Changes op.8 by O. Sevcik (1852-1934) is an indispensable technical and pedagogical textbook for violin students. In order to make studying these techniques more attractive for young people, Lenneke Willems has chosen to place the notes image in a wider and calmer way in this edition. It is also more accessible because the exercises, in contrast to the original, are already set in different keys. In addition, notation of the exercise has been chosen on 1 string instead of all strings. The exercises have been edited to a simpler form and new exercises have been added. The changes are not as high as in the original, however, if desired, most exercises can also be played higher on the string by following the line of sequences. The Hague violinist and violin pedagogue Lenneke Willems has been teaching violin to young children since her childhood and wrote the well-known mini-violin method. This study book is a nice addition to her ouvre!
