This book is an introduction to playing b double stops. It consists of exercises in order of difficulty, interspersed with folk songs. The exercises are coot: 1,2 or 4 bars. The intention is to study just a few exercises daily with different rhythms and strokes. By repeating this over and over again, this flexible structure turns out to be the fastest way. The first exercises are not yet real double stops (1 finger + loose string) and are therefore called "dip notes". "Auxiliary grips" means a different fingering. The Hague violinist and violin pedagogue Lenneke Willems has been teaching violin to young children since her childhood and wrote the well-known mini-violin method. This study book is a nice addition to her ouvre!
