Larsen Original violin strings produce a warm, direct and resolute sound with stable clarity and beautiful string cohesion. The strings are reliable and have a robust projection, ideal for a bright to neutral sounding violin that needs some extra warmth.

The Larsen E string is made of steel, while the A, D and G strings are made of a multi-ply nylon core. The A and D strings are wound with a flat aluminum wire and the G string with pure silver. The E string is also available with a loop end and in gold, however recently Larsen terminated the production of these strings (some strings are still available). The A string is also available with steel core and D string with silver winding (Medium and Strong).
