The Larsen Original viola string set consists of the following strings:
- A string ball end made of a steel core, around which a stainless steel wire is wound. Loop-end A string can be ordered separately.
- The C, G and D strings are made of a multi-wire nylon core, around which a silver wire is wound (C & G) or aluminum (D).
The strings are available in medium, strong and soft string tensions (only A string). Larsen discontinued the production of the soft A-strings. Some A-strings soft are still available.
