The Kaplan double bass string is seen by musicians as the most distinctive double bass string (according to the manufacturer....). The string offers a rich palette of tones, along with good bow response. Furthermore, the strings produce a clear and warm sound, both in the high and low registers. The following specification for the strings applies:

- G string : Braided steel core with titanimu winding;
- D and A string : Braided steel core with nickel winding;
- E and C ext string : Braided steel core with tungsten (tungsten) winding.

The Kaplan double bass strings are available in medium, strong and soft string tension.
