Kaplan E-violin strings bring the rich traditional sound that can be expected from high quality strings. There are various options available in the E-Kaplan program with specifications such as solid steel, aluminum winding and non-wiggling E-strings. This is due to the precision during the manufacturing process; string by string. The following options are available in the E-string program:

- Kaplan golden spiral solo E-string (type 301W): high quality braided steel core with aluminum winding, loop-end and soft version;
- Kaplan golden spiral solo E-string (type 420): high quality braided steel core, tin-plated, available with ball- and loop-end, and available in medium and strong.
- Kaplan non-whistling E-string (type KS311W) : This string is specially designed to reduce open string whistling. The string produces a warm and rich sound that blends very easily with the lower strings. Only available in the medium version.
- Kaplan gold E string (type K311GB/GL) : Gold plated version available in medium string tension as well as ball and loop end
