It is not a beginner's book and takes you to traditional Irish mousek, as played all over Ireland (and far beyond). The author has provided a very clear explanation about learning to play Irish music on the fiddle/fiddle and good examples of the tunes are available via "Online Audio". Each part contains about 30-40 tunes (jigs, reels, polkas, etc), which are clearly written out, including ornamentations.
