The new Il Cannone Violin Medium, Medium "Warm & Broad" and Medium "Direct & Focussed" violin strings were developedto provide a silvery and lustrous clarity of sound to enrich your style & instrument. Aimed at leading professionals and soloists as well as inspiring aspiring student and amateur violinists, Larsen developed an entirely new synthetic core at the heart of this new sound. Combining a new winding process we have further enriched the colours of this unique new formulation. The new Direct & Focused sets have already travelled the world. Tested with musicians extensively in Europe, North America and Asia on both new instruments and old Italian instruments including Strads and del Gesù. Violinists describe the strings as having empowered the whole instrument with more colour possibilities, more clarity, more edge and greater gain. 

Materials:

- E string : Carbon steel (ball/loop-end)
- A string : Synthetic core with flat precision alu winding
- D en G string : Synthetic core with pure silver winding

A choice between "Warm & Broad" or "Direct & Focussed" versions can be made. For the W&B version the stringtension of the A-string is somewhat lower. The sets are composed as follows:

- Set Medium: Article 631.442, 631,445, 631.448 & 631.451.
- Set Medium W&B: Article 631.442, 631,445WB, 631.448 & 631.451.
- Set Medium D&F: Article 631.642, 631,445DF, 631.448DF & 631.451DF.
