With the Groover humidifier you protect your valuable instrument against damage caused by too dry ambient air. This is available for (viola) violin, cello and contrabas.
The optimum humidity for bowed instruments is between 45 and 55% and the following steps describe how to use the humidifier:
(1) Immerse the GROOVER in water for approximately 20 seconds
(2) Press the end of the GROOVER to remove excess water. Carefully dry the outside of the tube and then place it in the instrument. Repeat if necessary.
(3) The GROOVER humidity indicator shows the percentage humidity of the room and changes color when the humidity changes. If the humidity is above 50%, the segments turn purple.
(4) The GROOVER can be left in the instrument while playing.
(5) It is best to keep the instrument in a cool place away from heating elements.
(6) Use is usually only necessary during dry weather periods or when the central heating is on.
