George Kloz was the son of the famous 17th-18th century violin maker Matthias Kloz (Mittenwald) and older brother of Sebastian Kloz. Georg Kloz developed a well-known and honorable status during his career. His violins are a bit wider than his brother 's and have an attractive yellow-brown or red-brown varnish .
