The MV-1 pickup sensor system is a very simple yet high quality passive pickup with a double piezo built into a single element designed to be mounted between a wing of the bridge. It has a tunable low-pass filter in the jack plug and thanks to its female jack with strain relief, you don't risk accidentally pulling the cable. The thickness of the sensor is approximately 1.5mm, which is suitable for most (viola) violin combs.
