The goal in developing Dogal Marchio Verde cello strings was to create string tension very similar to gut string tension, even if their core is made using steel. Maestro Cella Luigi took on this challenge when he decided to start producing cello strings. To achieve this, Maestro Cella developed a formula for the steel with a high percentage of carbon. After more than 50 years, the same production process is still followed and the same materials and formulas are used. The Marchio Rosso (green tag) have a flat bronze winding and give a powerful sound (with the right stroke technique...). The tolerances do not exceed 2/100 mm over the entire length of the string and the strings are made by hand. The string set is composed as follows:

• A string : steel core with bronze winding;
• D string : steel core with bronze winding;
• G string : steel core with bronze winding;
• C string : steel core with bronze winding.

Available in four sizes 1/10, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4-4/4.
