The goal in developing Dogal Marchio Rosso violin strings was to create a string tension very similar to gut string tension , even if their core is made using steel. Maestro Cella Luigi took up this challenge when he decided to start producing violin strings. To achieve this , Maestro Cella developed a formula for the steel with a high percentage of carbon. After more than 50 years , the same production process is still followed and the same materials and formulas are used. The Marchio Rosso violin strings have a flat chrome winding and give a powerful sound (with the correct plucking technique..) . The tolerances do not exceed 2/100 mm over the entire length of the string and the strings are made by hand. The string set is composed as follows:
- Solid steel E string (ball-end):
- A string : steel core with chrome winding:
- D string : steel core with chrome winding:
- G string : steel core with chrome winding:
Available in three sizes 4/4-3/4, 1/2-1/4 and 1/8-1/16.
