Matteo Goffriller (1659-1742) was a Venetian violin maker, best known for the quality of his cellos. Active between 1685-1735, he founded the " Venetian School" of luthiers at a time when Venice was one of the most important centers of musical activity in the world. Dogal Goffriller cello strings are designed in the tradition of the sound of Matteo Goffriller's cellos to meet the needs of today's professional cellists. Contemporary cellists demand pure and long-lasting sound qualities from their strings and a certain flexibility under the fingers; something that the Goffrillers strings offer. The Goffriller celo strings also adapt to old and modern instruments and provide a rich and warm sound with a large volume. The string set is composed as follows:
- A string : Steel cable with chrome winding;
- D string : Steel cable with chrome winding;
- G string : Steel cable with chrome winding;
- C string : Steel cable with chrome winding.
and are available in three different versions: Medium, Strong and Soloist.
