Zyex strings are known for their warm, clear and powerful sound. The strings are very stable, even in changing weather conditions and are easy to play, both pizzicato and with the bow. The strings are intended for the 3/4 double bass with a vibrating string scale of 1060mm, medium or soft string tension and are designed as follows:

- G string : Synthetic core with titanium winding
- D string : Synthetic core with stainless steel winding
- A string : Synthetic core with tungsten winding
- E string : Synthetic core with tungsten winding
- C (Ext.E) string : Synthetic core with tungsten winding
