Ascenté violin strings are specially designed to provide the novice violinist with a synthetic string set that is affordable, offers a warm and clear sound (with the right bowing technique...!) compared to the cheaper steel strings that are often fitted as standard on somewhat cheaper violins. The strings are stable, easy to tune (compared to steel strings) and last a very long time. The set consists of the following strings:

- E string : Carbon steel core that is tinned;
- A string : Synthetic core with aluminum winding;
- D string : Synthetic core with monel (nickel/copper) winding;
- G string : Synthetic core with monel winding;
