Ascenté viola strings are specially designed to provide the novice viola player with a synthetic string set that is affordable, offers a warm and clear sound (with the right bowing technique...!) compared to the cheaper steel strings that are often mounted as standard on somewhat cheaper violas . The strings are stable, easy to tune (compared to steel strings) and last a very long time. The set consists of the following strings:

- A string : Synthetic core with aluminum winding;
- D string : Synthetic core with monel (nickel/copper) winding;
- G string : Synthetic core with monel winding;
- C string : Synthetic core with monel winding.

The strings are available in those five (5) lengths, which are medium scale (15-16"), long scale (16"+), short scale (14-15", 3/4 violin size), extra short scale (13 -14", 1/2 violin size) and extra etxra short scale (12-13", 1/4 violin size).
